A no deposit bonus is the only casino offer you can accept without putting money in first. The casino credits a small amount of bonus funds, free spins or free chips when you open an account, and you keep what you win if you meet the conditions attached. Those conditions are the whole story, and they are where most of these offers quietly fall apart.
The ranking above is rebuilt from the same scorecard every time: who holds the licence, whether the advertised bonus matches the operator’s own terms, how withdrawals are handled, and what support actually answers. We take affiliate commission, and it does not change the order. Below is what the terms mean, so you can judge an offer yourself rather than take our word for it.
The four kinds of no deposit bonus
Operators use the names loosely, so it helps to sort them by what you actually receive.
Free spins are the most common. You get a fixed number of spins on one slot or a short list of slots, usually at the minimum stake. The spin count looks generous next to a cash figure, but the value depends entirely on the stake per spin and the cap on what you can withdraw.
Free cash lands in your account as bonus funds you can spread across eligible games. More flexible than spins, and usually a smaller headline number as a result.
Free chips are the table-game equivalent, offered where a casino wants to show off live dealer or card games rather than slots.
Bonus codes are not a separate type. A code is just how you claim one of the above. If an offer needs a code and you skip it, the bonus does not apply retroactively at most casinos, and support will usually tell you the claim window has closed.
How to claim one without losing it
Register with details you can verify later. Almost every no deposit bonus is tied to identity verification before a withdrawal clears, and a name that does not match your ID is the most common reason winnings are refused.
Enter the code at the point the operator asks for it, which may be at registration or in a promotions tab afterwards. Claim the bonus before you deposit anything: on many sites a first deposit cancels eligibility for the no deposit offer.
Then read the terms once before you play, not after. The five numbers below decide what the offer is worth.
The terms that decide what it is worth
Wagering requirement. A multiple of the bonus that you have to stake before any winnings can be withdrawn. At 40x, a $20 bonus means $800 of total turnover. That figure is not money you must lose, it is money you must bet, with the same funds recycling as you win and lose along the way. Our wagering requirements guide works through the arithmetic in full.
Maximum cashout. The cap on what you can take out of a no deposit bonus, regardless of what you win. This matters more than the wagering multiple and gets far less attention. A $100 cap turns a lucky run into $100.
Game weighting. Not every game counts the same toward wagering. Slots usually count 100 per cent, table games often 10 per cent or less, and some titles are excluded entirely. Clearing a requirement on a game weighted at 10 per cent takes ten times the turnover.
Maximum bet while wagering. A per-spin or per-hand limit, often around $5, that applies until the requirement is cleared. Breaching it, which an autoplay setting can do without you noticing, voids the bonus at most operators.
Expiry. Bonus funds and free spins both lapse, sometimes within 24 hours. Anything unwagered when the clock runs out disappears.
Where you can legally play in the United States
Regulated online casino gaming is a state matter in the US, and most states do not have it. Seven run live regulated markets: New Jersey, Delaware, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island and West Virginia. Maine has passed legislation but its market has not launched. Several more, among them Illinois, Massachusetts and New York, have weighed bills without passing them.
That is a smaller map than most bonus listings imply. Genuine no deposit offers at state-licensed casinos are rare, and the operators advertising them most loudly are generally licensed elsewhere and accepting US players at their own discretion. That is a real distinction worth understanding before you sign up: it changes who you can complain to if something goes wrong. Check what applies where you live, and treat any site that will not name its licence as a site to avoid.
How we rank these casinos
Six things, applied the same way to every operator. Licence and regulator, named and checked. Security and identity verification. Bonus accuracy, meaning the advertised figure matches the terms. Payments and the withdrawal times the operator states. Games and how the site behaves on a phone. Support hours and the responsible gambling tools on offer.
A casino that hides its licence or its bonus terms does not enter the ranking at all. The full method is on how we review casinos, including how we are paid.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best no deposit bonus right now?
The one at the top of the ranking on this page, which is rebuilt whenever an offer changes. “Best” here means the best balance of bonus size against realistic terms, not the biggest headline number.
Do I need a bonus code?
Only where the offer says so. Where a code is required it appears next to the casino in the table above, and you can copy it with one click.
Can I actually withdraw what I win?
Yes, once the wagering requirement is cleared and your identity is verified, and up to the maximum cashout on that offer. The cap is the part that most often surprises people.
Why do no deposit bonuses have wagering requirements at all?
Because without them the offer would simply be free money, and nobody would deposit. The requirement is what the casino is buying: a reason for you to play long enough to see the site properly.
Can I claim more than one?
One per person per casino, in almost every case. Multiple accounts at the same operator will be detected at verification and the winnings voided, and it is the quickest way to lose everything you have built up.
Are no deposit bonuses worth claiming?
As a free look at a casino, yes. As a way to make money, no. Most do not convert into a withdrawal, and treating one as income is the fastest route to disappointment. Claim it, enjoy it, and stop when it is gone.
